In eight simple steps, reduce the depth of your wrinkles and unleash your skin’s self-healing powers.

Start: Preparation

 

The treatment must be performed in a dry, clean, smoke-free, and hygienic area. Ensure there is adequate lighting in the room where the treatment will be performed. Before the treatment begins, ensure that all products and equipment are available and that all safety measures and procedures are met.

 

1 Cleansing

 

Start with clean skin. Our Essentials Solution Cleanser thoroughly and gently removes dirt, sebum, and make-up residue from your skin. Our cleansers are formulated to strengthen the skin barrier and the skin's natural protective function prior to treatment.

How to: Place a small amount of Essentials Solution Cleanser on fingertips and combine with lukewarm water. Gently massage the cleansing foam on the face and remove the excess foam with a damp, facial cleansing sponge or water.

2 Peeling

 

Remove built-up dead skin cells. Our Enzyme Peel contains encapsulated fruit extracts and bromelain and removes skin dander and dead skin, clarifies your skin texture, and sets the stage for rapid skin renewal after your treatment. As a result, active ingredients in the following steps can be evenly applied for a more uniform exfoliation.

How to: Put a hazelnut-sized amount in the peel bowl and evenly apply to the skin area with the chemical peel brush. Leave on for at least 5 minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes. Afterwards, remove the peel mask with the facial cleansing sponge and rinse thoroughly. Gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel if needed.

3 Serums

 

Boost Your Treatment. With over 20 ready-to-use microneedling serums or viscous gels, select the right serums or gel that matches your treatment goal. All our products are pharmaceutical-grade and formulated for transdermal delivery. Experience better results with numerous patented active ingredients formulated of the highest quality.

How to:  A blunt cannula and a syringe are required to withdraw the serum. Remove the ampoule cap, attach the nozzle to the syringe. Pierce plastic septum and withdraw the required amount of serum. Evenly distribute the serum on the desired area. The serum now serves as a lubrication barrier between the skin and the needling device in the following step.

4 Needling

 

Unleash the Power. Select either the needling pen or derma roller. Large areas on the body should be treated with a dermaroller to be effective. The NeedlingPen should be used for smaller areas on the body. Both devices restore elasticity and collagen production quickly and allow the active ingredient to penetrate further into the skin.

How to:  The treatment area should be perforated 4-8 times. With the NeedlingPen, select the needle length depending on the severity of the wrinkles.

5 Hydration

 

3-in-1 Combo. The Hydration Face Mask provides intense hydration, supports the skin’s regenerative process, and restores the body’s elasticity and collagen production. Redness, irritation, microtears and dryness are reduced immediately. 

How to:  Remove the mask from the packaging and remove both protective coverings. Apply the mask to the face and distribute the serum onto the mask evenly. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Remove the mask and massage the remaining serum into the skin.

6 Repair

 

SOS: Our Repair Balm is a post-treatment solution that strengthens and reconstructs the skin barrier, restores your skin’s pH balance, and seals in the serum.

How to:  Open the individual Repair Balm package and massage into the skin in circular motions. Allow the cream to absorb into the skin. Do not rinse off.

UV Defense: Protect the skin from UV radiation at the end of the treatment. Free from nanoparticles, it is based on proven UVB and UVA filters, as well as nourishing ingredients for skin stabilization.

How to: Spray the cream to the desired skin area and massage into the skin in circular motions. Allow the cream to absorb into the skin.

The microneedling treatment creates microscopic punctures to the skin without creating permanent damage to the epidermis. There is a simple reason conventional cosmetics have a limited effect on wrinkles. Our skin is our largest organ, weighing about 4 kilograms and covering up to two square meters. It consists of three layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis. The outermost layer consists of brick-like, densely packed horny cells and protects us from the harsh environmental elements. It can be compared to a brick wall, as the tough cells are layered like bricks and mortared by lipids. For the active ingredients in conventional cosmetics to penetrate deep below this outermost subcutaneous layer of skin, they must first overcome this brick-like wall. Studies have shown that wrinkles can leave trenches 0.3 mm deep in the skin structure. Even the most expensive creams are only able to penetrate about 0.01 mm – one thirtieth of this distance. Rejuvenation or regeneration of the skin cannot be measured or proven in any independent study. Even new cosmetics with a modified molecular structure or added artificial penetrators created from a laboratory are not able to penetrate this deep into the skin.
The needle length of our microneedling devices can extend up to 2.5 mm, where it creates microscopic punctures and activates a self-healing process. This stimulates natural growth factors of your body, resulting in the production of collagen and elastin. Only at this depth, can these natural growth factors have a real effect on diminishing wrinkles and other visible signs of aging. Matrixneedling™ can treat all types of intrinsic and extrinsic skin aging. These include, but are not limited to:

Wrinkles are usually treated with a needle length between 0.5 mm and a maximum of 1.5 mm. It is strongly advised to begin the first treatment with a short needle length to reduce the risk of irritation.
The downtime for a treatment with a needle length of 0.5 mm is a few hours. For treatments with a longer needle length, redness may be visible for up to 3 days. Our post-treatment face masks and repair balm significantly shorten this downtime.
The first positive results can already be seen after the first treatment. Your complexion immediately appears revitalized, healthy, and more voluminous. Your skin will feel hydrated and smooth. The process to reconstruct the collagen network also begins just after the first treatment. This process requires more time, but also has a long-term effect. You will see a healthier complexion after every treatment. Between 6 and 8 treatments are recommended for reducing wrinkles. Your appointment frequency will depend on the length of the needle used and your follow-up appointments can then be scheduled quarterly or semi-annually.

It is highly advised to not undergo the treatment if you suffer from or have the following:

  • Allergies, epilepsy, infections or any autoimmune diseases, respiratory infections, any other heart-related illnesses, or skin infections of the treated area.
  • Any illness or disease that is treated with medications that may alter the normal Reepithelisierung of the skin e.g., diabetes, Mediterranean amnesia, etc., or those who are undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or high-dose corticosteroid therapy.
  • Visible tissue swelling (edema) or bruises to the treatment area.
  • Retrovirus or viral diseases e.g., hepatitis A, B, C, D, E or F, HIV infections, or an acute local skin infections e.g. herpes, rosacea, acne, couperose, herpes, rashes or eczema.
  • A person under the age of 18 years without parental or guardian consent.
  • A person taking blood thinning medication, a blood-clotting disorder, an open wound, a chronic wound, a skin disease, scar keloids, nerve damage, or warts.

It is also suggested to not undergo any treatment if one of the following apply:

  • You are pregnant or breast feeding.
  • Suffer from mental illness.
  • If you have received Botox or hyaluronic injections in the last three weeks.

Our hygienic, stainless-steel needles are not as painful as you think. A 2012 study showed that 80% of users believe that a needle length of 0.75 mm or less to be minimal pain, while 20% believed a needle length of 0.75 mm or greater to be unpleasant. The level of pain varies by person.

When using a needle length of 0.75 mm or greater, a topical anesthetic (EMLA) is advised. If EMLA is needed, apply the cream to the face after the enzyme peel and leave on for about 30 minutes. The portion of the skin that has the local anesthetic should be completely covered with an airtight and watertight cover e.g., an occlusive bandage or simple cling film. Read the package guidelines.
